Job Description

Business Development Executive – Point of Purchase has P&L responsibility for selling design and engineering services leading to projects requiring molding, tooling, assembly and fulfillment related services to existing customers as well as prospective customers seeking a full-service solution in the retail point of purchase display sector.

Builds business in the retail point of purchase industry by calling on and winning business from key retail consumer product manufacturers, major consumer product retailers and distributors to retailers by selling to existing customer base as well as identifying and closing business with new prospects.

Plans and executes sales, production and quality guidelines, and product development activities directly with customers and prospects. This work includes: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, recommending engineering and manufacturing solutions to meet customer goals and objectives, and working closely internal and external engineering, operations and technical support to ensure revenue/profitability goals are met.

Builds and manages a successful team consisting of sales professionals, account managers and customer service representatives.

Sales Executive Job Duties:
● Pinpoints business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry; researching and analyzing sales options.
● Sells products by establishing contact and developing relationships with existing customers and prospects; recommending solutions.
● Maintains relationships with clients providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending profit and POP display innovation and improvements.
● Provides “voice of the customer” insight and feedback to internal departments – e.g., quality, product development, continuous improvement initiatives, etc.
● Identifies product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
● Provides lead and sales forecasting and market planning input.
● Builds and manages team to win, grow and retain business.
● Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
● Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
● Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending industry specific trade shows, educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
● Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Skills and Qualifications:
● Demonstrated track record of sales success in the point of purchase industry, including strategic account identification, penetration and development
● Demonstrated ability to open new doors and handle multiple accounts
● Demonstrated experience establishing and meeting sales goals, sales planning, independence
● Capable of succeeding in both short and long sales cycles
● Strong analysis and solution selling skills
● Strong presentation, negotiation, and prospecting skills
● High energy level, creative and motivated to drive revenue growth and client success by building strong relationships with prospects, clients, internal leadership and organization
● Strong mentoring, leadership and team building skills

The idea candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in either the permanent point of purchase display or high end store fixtures industry.
Bachelor’s Degree or comparable experience
Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time
